Over the years, we’ve developed a streamlined, carefully thought-out process for building custom websites.
Before we can estimate your project, we’ll need the following:
STEP ONE - WEBSITE ESTIMATE FORM
Please fill out the form and submit it. You'll find the link below.
STEP TWO - DISCOVERY SESSION CALL
We’ll set up a call to go over any questions and talk strategy, look and feel of site, platform, and budget.
STEP THREE - ESTIMATE
After our call, we’ll put together an estimate outlining what we plan to do for you and what it will cost.
STEP FOUR - INITIAL PAYMENT
We require a 50% non-refundable retainers fee to start your project. Retainers Fee details will be written on your estimate. The remaining 50% is due before we launch your site. You are now officially on our production schedule.
STEP FIVE - WEBSITE INTAKE FORM
Our Website Intake Form will help us get to the bottom of who you are, who your target audience is, and collect all your content. We will get you set up with your own DROPBOX and also set you up on BASECAMP, a platform where we keep all communication. All your content must be turned in one week prior to us starting on your site.
STEP SIX - DESIGN + DEVELOPMENT
We take all your final approved content and start designing. This part of the process can take 4 weeks on Squarespace once we have all content. Possibly longer on other platforms. We can come up with a production schedule depending on your needs. You get two rounds of revisions and a round of final tweaks.
STEP SEVEN - GO LIVE
Site is approved. We collect the remaining 50% of you project and launch your site. We will set up a one-hour Google Meet call with your point person and show you how to make future updates and get around the backend of your site. You can use Google Meet even if you don't use Gmail.
+ Four Week Process
WEEK ONE | WEBSITE WORKSHOP REVIEW + VISUAL DISCOVERY
Congratulations! Your project has officially begun. We’ll kick off the week with a call to review your website workshop. Our designer and project manager will both be on the call to make sure everyone gets all the right details. Then we’ll jump into an intense week of reviewing inspiration, conceptualizing and playing around in your template.
WEEK TWO | CREATIVE DELIVERY + REFINEMENT
We’ll send you homepage direction for you to review. We’ll upload the concept to Basecamp. Once that initial creative is uploaded, you’ll have a chance to give feedback for your first round of revisions. Please, please take this seriously! The more detailed and thorough your feedback, the better the revised work will be.
WEEK THREE | FINAL REVISIONS
We have two goals here: to keep you on budget and to deliver a website that works beautifully. This week is dedicated to doing just that as we complete the web development + design. At this point, we’ll be making final tweaks and will be well on our way to wrapping up your site.
WEEK FOUR | GO LIVE
Once your visual website has been finalized we'll work with you on getting your site live. This week we'll have a one hour training SKYPE call to teach you the ins and outs of your site.
+ What platform would you recommend?
We love so many things about Squarespace and Shopify and specialize in those platforms. You can easily make updates yourself and so can your employees after the launch.
+ What about SEO?
We are designers and specialize in design. We do a very basic level of SEO to your site. If you would like to take things to another level there are companies we can recommend that specialize solely in SEO.
+ How long does this process take?
We start when we have all your content. Final approved Copy and Images. From there we can move pretty fast. You should be live within take 4 weeks on squarespace once we have all content. Possibly longer on other platforms. We can come up with a production schedule depending on your needs.
+ Do you have refund policy?
Your 50% retainers fee holds your spot. Once we book the design start date for you, that means we do not book anyone else for that time block. The retainer fee is non-refundable to make sure that we honor the time we’ve set aside just for you, and for our other clients. If you need to change your design start date there will be a charge of $500 and we must have 2 weeks notice. If we are within 2 weeks of your start day you will forfeit your retainers fee. Please email us if you have any specific questions about this.
Once HONOR has begun work on a project, any delay more than 5 days of inactivity may invalidate the project. HONOR has no obligations to continue the services or complete the project. This means you should plan to be available and dedicated the weeks of your design.
